K.Watanabe ; Workshop on MODELING OF DYNAMIC BEHAVIOR OF WOOD STRUCTURE.  March  2000  207p.

Abstract

The final target of our work is to establish a 3-Dimensional Model for Dynamic Behavior in Wood Buildings. Wood structures have particularities in the divergence of material properties, of working conditions and moreover there are many factors implicit in wood structures such as embedding, friction, cracking. The prevalence of cracking as an effect of the drying procedure necessitates a clear definition. There are a lot of problems we should overcome to achieve our goal. Many people are trying to struggle with these problems in the world. This workshop is to clarify our state of the art and to find a way to share the necessary work in a collaborative manner.
