Anisotropic Plane and Plate Stress Analysis by Framework Method.

M.Ozaki; March, 1971. 31p.

Abstract

Equivalent framework method is a practical method of analysis in structural and continuum mechanics.

In this method, an anisotropic continuum is divided into finite rectangular elements and each element is replaced by a statically equivalent framework model in order to permit the calculation of stresses and displacements by a single digital computer program for the analysis of framed structures.

In this paper, the theory for orthotropic plane and plate stress analysis by rectangular framework models is explained, and several numerical examples of plane and plate stress systems are presented.
