Anisotropic plane Stress Analysis by Equivalent Framework Method.

M.Ozaki; October, 1970. 17p.

Abstract

Equivalent framework method is a practical method of analysis in structural and continuum mechanics. In this method, a two dimensional anisotropic continuum is divided into finite rectangular elements, and each element is replaced by a statically equivalent framework model in order to permit the calculation of stresses and displacements by a single digital computer program for the analysis of framed structures.

In this paper, the theory for anisotropic plane stress analysis by retangular framework models is explained, and several examples of calculation are presented.
